Gent culture places high value on spiritual practice, which often takes the form of small daily prayers and rituals known as orisons. It is common to observe a practicing gent speak a small prayer before undertaking a risky venture, before a meal, even making a large purchase. There are several dozen such orisons, each specific to a situation in which the individual requires guidance or luck.

Historical figures

Gent religion shares many of the same saints as the Akregian Church, though the names are often different (such as Saint Parmenus the Craftsman going by the name Parmeno d'Artesano in gent beliefs).
In addition, there are a number of saints that either are unique to or feature much more heavily in gent culture. One such example is Saint Florentine d'Corsair, the patron saint of sailing and shipwrights (who goes by the name Florentinus in Akregia).
