Tabbit
Tabbits are nimble, rabbit-like humanoids known for their sharp reflexes, keen senses, and high energy. Often found in open meadows, dense woodlands, or hilly grasslands, Tabbits live in close-knit warrens or nomadic caravans that value freedom, speed, and community. Curious by nature and quick to act, they are excellent scouts, messengers, and survivalists.
Tabbits stand slightly shorter than humans, with lean builds and digitigrade legs built for hopping and sprinting. They are easily recognized by their large, expressive ears, soft fur (ranging in color from white, grey, brown, to black), and short, fluffy tails. Their eyes tend to be wide and bright, with excellent low-light vision, and their noses constantly twitch with alertness.
Naturally energetic, Tabbits speak quickly, move constantly, and often struggle to sit still. This liveliness is matched by a clever, sometimes mischievous demeanor. Though not physically powerful, they excel at evasion, acrobatics, and tactical movement. Many Tabbits train in ambush tactics, herbal lore, or natural camouflage to make up for their lack of brute strength.
Tabbit culture is centered around cooperation, oral tradition, and instinctual trust. They revere nature spirits, moon deities, or ancestral spirits tied to their burrows and homes. They craft light, flexible armor and gear for mobility, and their architecture often blends into the natural environment—burrows, treehouses, or earth-covered domes.
Despite their soft appearance, Tabbits are resilient and cunning. They can vanish into the underbrush in an instant or lead predators into prepared traps. They distrust strict authority and prefer flat leadership structures where every voice can be heard. To a Tabbit, freedom and movement are sacred, and settling down is a rare, deeply personal decision.
Tabbits are a blur on the battlefield—darting between foes, weaving through terrain, and harrying enemies with fast strikes. But in peace, they are warm, playful companions with strong bonds to family, nature, and stories.
To meet a Tabbit is to encounter a flash of fur and wit—fast in foot, faster in thought, and never still for long.
