Roachian

Roachians are a resilient insectoid race descended from ancient cockroach-like ancestors. Survivors above all else, Roachians are masters of endurance, capable of thriving in the harshest environments—from ruined cities and deep underground tunnels to toxic wastelands. Their tenacity, adaptability, and sheer will to live make them invaluable allies and frustrating foes. Roachians have sleek, chitin-covered bodies in hues of dark brown, bronze, or oily black. Their eyes are large and multi-faceted, and their antennae constantly twitch, sensing danger before it strikes. Their humanoid frame is slightly hunched, with long fingers and nimble legs perfect for scuttling through tight spaces. Some bear small wing casings on their back, though few possess the ability to fly. Their hardened bodies grant them natural resistance to heat, poison, and disease.
Often underestimated due to their unsettling appearance and scavenger tendencies, Roachians possess strong communal bonds and an uncanny ingenuity when it comes to survival. They live in tightly knit enclaves, often in places abandoned by others, transforming refuse into shelter, tools, or even art.
