Fey
Fey are vibrant, enigmatic humanoids tied closely to the primal forces of nature and magic. While similar in stature and grace to elves, Fey are far more whimsical, unpredictable, and emotionally expressive. They originate from realms where the boundaries between reality and dream blur—places of eternal twilight, blooming glades, and wild magic. To encounter a Fey is to step into a world where beauty and chaos dance hand in hand.
Fey possess slender, lithe bodies and pointed ears, much like elves, but their features are more exaggerated and colorful. Their skin can shimmer with hues of lavender, rose, jade, or gold, and their hair flows in vibrant shades—turquoise, flame-orange, deep violet, or even multicolored streaks that shift with their mood. Their eyes are luminous, often lacking visible pupils, and seem to sparkle with inner light or starlight.
Most Fey wear garments made of living materials—petals, leaves, silk spun by magical creatures—adorned with baubles or jewelry attuned to seasonal cycles or emotional states. Their movements are fluid and graceful, often seeming to defy logic or gravity. Their voices can charm or chill, and their laughter is as likely to delight as to disorient.
Though not all Fey hail from the true Feywild or similar realms, they carry that plane’s energy within them. Many possess an innate talent for illusion, enchantment, or nature-based magic. Fey value freedom, expression, and sensation, often acting according to impulse, curiosity, or obscure personal codes rather than law or morality.
While some Fey are light-hearted tricksters, others are fiercely protective, cryptically wise, or deeply alien. Interacting with them often means navigating riddles, emotions, and a sense of wonder—or danger.
To know a Fey is to glimpse the world not as it is, but as it might be in the heart of a dream.
