Drow
Drow, also known as dark elves, are a reclusive and enigmatic offshoot of the elven lineage, long adapted to the depths of the underground world. Known for their cunning, beauty, and affinity for shadow and magic, Drow society is often cloaked in secrecy and steeped in ancient power struggles. While many surface-dwellers regard them with suspicion, not all Drow are agents of malice—some walk paths of rebellion, redemption, or quiet neutrality.
Drow possess lithe, graceful builds and dusky to obsidian skin tones, with hair ranging from white and silver to stark purples and midnight blue. Their eyes gleam with vibrant shades—red, violet, or teal—capable of piercing the darkness. Most Drow favor elegant, form-fitting garb crafted from rare underground materials, often adorned with house insignias or magical enhancements.
They dwell in sprawling subterranean cities built into cavern walls, lit by phosphorescent fungi and enchanted crystals. Drow culture is complex, often matriarchal, and bound by rigid noble houses, ancient oaths, and a reverence for the night. Intrigue, ambition, and personal prowess are valued, and magical talent is both common and expected. Drow often excel in shadow magic, poisons, and silent weaponry, favoring precision over brute strength.
Though some Drow embrace cruel traditions or the worship of dark deities, many others seek balance, forging pacts with surface races, guiding lost travelers, or challenging the corruption within their own people.
