Planetary orbital defense stations, or PODS are large space stations usually found in orbit of planets. heavily armed and armored. with most, if not all, armaments facing out into open space sometimes called Castles
in most cases, four PODS can defend an earth sized planet. with smaller weapons satellites slaved to a PODS in more war torn systems
