Maplewood Mountain Range

A circular mountain range that form a natural barrier surrounding the Maplewoods. One of the only ways in and out of the Maplewoods is through a break in the mountains known as the neck.

Mother Maple's roots, known as root rock, run deep below the ground preventing any attempt to mine through to the forest side of the mountains. Despite this the ancient Rootways carved by Gnomes during the The Gnomining are still functional, leading to expanded trade networks at key points of the Maplewood Mountain Range. Because of this the Rootways are hubs of Dwarfen and Gnomish trade with beautiful and ornate stonework etched into the walls.
