The Highest Seat

The Highest Seat is the audience and proclamation throne room within the Court of Change's hidden palace. It is a large chamber hidden deep beneath the ground, lit by countless candles. There are small chambers along the walls, where the changelings, the venerated deities, sit while they hold court, while there are seats for the high clergy nearby, from where they may recieve the words of their deities to deliver them to those in their presence.
Sound carries well within the throne room, while words from within the deities' separate rooms are muffled, only audible to the clergy assigned to that specific deity's care. There is an oblong circle which any visitors is to kneel in while in the presence of the deities. At the back of each deity's cell, for they are truly nothing buy comfortable cells with elegant chairs, have doors hidden behind tapestries woven in shifting colours in the back, with corridors that leads back to that specific deity's living chambers; these are especially large and lavish chambers, reserved solely for the use of the High Speakers.
The chamber is carved right out of the stone, and polished perfectly smooth. It is a pinkish white colour, except for the gold-painted visitor's circle.
