Makarov PM
The standard sidearm for military and police in the Soviet Union, the Makarov is a century-old 9mm semiautomatic handgun. The 9x18mm cartridge offered a good combination of stopping power and low recoil, which made the Makarov remarkably simple to use by conscripted forces. Modernized variants still exist in Russia today, and ended up seeing use in the Euro Wars by Russian forces as well as Alliance for Allah jihadists.
*Modern variants of the Makarov have 10 round magazines
- Even now, some police officers still use Makarov pistols, though these versions have been nano-forged and are compatible with modern attachments and modifications.
