FN Five-SeveN
In the early 90's, FN Herstal would develop the 5.7x28mm cartridge at the request of NATO, who were looking for a replacement for the 9mm cartridge following the advent of soft body armor seeing common use, and alongside this new cartridge, they would produce the Five-SeveN. This lightweight handgun boasts low recoil and high capacitiy, intended for standard use among NATO countries. The weapon was popular enough for over 40 nations to adopt it for use in their militaries and law enforcement agencies, with Greece being the first to do so. The Five-SeveN was also well received by the civilian market, though the high price for both the pistol and its ammunition left it rather difficult to actually obtain.
