Beretta M9
The military version of the Beretta 92 pistol, originally fielded into service in 1985. The first iteration of the M9 was simply a slightly heavier version of the 92FS with ambidexterous controls. Later on, the M9A1 was introduced, which included a Picatinny rail for mounting flashlights or laser sights as well as improved grips and a beveled magazine well for easier reloads. Following the A1 was the M9A3, which included extensive improvements, such as an improved rail system and an extended 17 round magazine. In its final iteration, the M9A4 added one more round to the extended magazine, making it a full 18 rounds. Furthermore, the A4 included improved tritium sights as well as a slide that was compatible with red dot sights, and an enhanced trigger, as well as the removal of a manual safety.
- The M9A3's and A4's actually ended up seeing use in the Ghost Dance War by both US forces and NAN troops. Afterwards, there were a few crates sent to EU nations by the UCAS government during the Euro Wars, though there wasn't much documented use during that period.
