Loremaster
Loremaster is a position of great importance to dragons, one that has not been filled in the Sixth World.
Since dragons do not have a written language, passing information from one generation to the next is a difficult task. While still in the egg, each dragon is taught the concepts of draconic etiquette by their caretaker, but only so much can be transmitted this way. That is where the role of Loremaster comes into play. The Loremaster is the owner of the Jewel of Memories, an artifact that contains the sum of knowledge of all dragons. With this artifact, the Loremaster can act as an advisor to other dragons, as well as an arbiter in the event of conflict. The process of choosing a Loremaster requires a ritual that can only be completed with the Jewel of Memories. Unfortunately, the current location of the Jewel of Memories have yet to be revealed, leaving the modern dragons without a central authority to keep them organized. Both Dunkelzahn and Lofwyr have spoken out about this situation. The former sees it as a sign that dragons need to be more personally responsible for their place in modern society, whereas the latter blames the interference of metahumanity for the missing artifact, a reason that dragons and metahumanity should not interact.
