09 - Bringing Down the Workhouse

General Summary

18^thof June, 3598 AA

Rogan gives chase and Inari attempts to follow, still holding Madeline. Her kids are in a workhouse to the north of the town, both halflings. One is a girl called Evelyn, the other is a boy called Kale. Evelyn is tall, pale brown hair. Kale has pale green hair. Evelyn has a mole on her neck. They're like 10 years old.

Inari gathers the party and gets them to eat breakfast. The idea is to break the children out of the workhouse. Get to the workhouse. Snorri remembers a story he's heard before, of two children in a workhouse and he originally went on the quest for the merchant's daughter to be found. Snorri breaks down the wall, Sargoria breaks the lock of the other door, and they get the kids out and safely to the temple.

The others fall down into the ground and investigate a manmade tunnel. Silas finds an old, collapsible ladder and takes it. As he takes it, a swarm of centipedes comes out of the ground to meet us. We fight them and win, though Silas gets taken down. Inari heals him and they all head to the temple. Silas is healed and Inari tries to find someone who's in charge. She finds a female human who says that as long as the children are in the temple, they cannot be forced out or arrested.

Inari goes to Rogan and tells him everything, and he seems generally distressed about the idea. He goes to see the kids for himself, and then the workhouse. Inari finds a hole that seems to have been dug out by child's hands, a mud hole. Rogan goes back to the temple to handcuff the guy to his table to keep him there. Inari takes the children to see their mum. Silas goes to Paon Enchanté to buy trousers.
