Naussica (naw-sick-uh)
Ocean Goddess, Queen of the Deep Naussica
Naussica is the goddess of the oceans, ships and sea travel, and aquatic life. She appears to most mortals as a living aquatic swell or wave in the shape of a human woman. Her braids gone but replaced with dark, swirling sea water.
She is known as one the Four Pillars of Creation, creator of all bodies of water, the life that dwells beneath the surface, and mother to Tempus, god of the storm.

Divine Symbols & Sigils
The divine symbol for a member of Naussica's clergy is the same trident that priest or cleric would carry as the goddess's holy weapon. These tridents are typically made of steel, iron, or bronze.
Tenets of Faith
- The sea is eternal and untamed—respect her, or be swallowed by her wrath.
- Set sail boldly, for life is a voyage with no promised shores.
- Keep your word, as the tides keep their cycle; treachery is the way of the drowned.
- Aid those lost at sea, for all are at the mercy of the waters in the end.
Holidays
Sea's Bounty: A maritime festival where sailors and fishermen give thanks to Naussica for safe voyages and bountiful catches. The day includes boat races, seafood feasts, and offerings cast into the sea. This day is celebrated in the month of Deepcurrent.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Naussica seeks to ensure the eternal cycle of tides, currents, and storms. The seas must never stagnate, for movement is life, and stillness is death. She aids sailors, explorers, and wanderers who respect the sea’s power, while punishing those who defy its laws or plunder recklessly. When arrogance and hubris challenge the sea, let the tempests remind mortals of their place. The storm is both a teacher and a judge.
Continents shift, islands rise and fall, and coastlines erode and reform—all according to her unknowable will. The land is ever at the mercy of the sea, this makes her a distant rival of her brother Silvanus.
