The Saker Falcon is a swift and powerful bird of prey. It's habitat ranges across the grasslands of the Eurasian continent. Its preferred method of pursuit is horizontal distance as opposed to the peregrine's stoop (dive) from height; hence, its native steppe habitat.
It measures up to two feet in length, with a wingspan up to four feet.
The Saker Falcon is the national bird of Hungary, the UAE, and Mongolia.
