The Archers of the Mist

All that is known.

The Maidens of the Mist are a small group of females of any race who vow to never marry and never have children. There is very little known about them and what they do except for one tradition. One day a year, at midnight, they must go into the woods and burn an offering for their unknown leader. To join the group you must burn a branch of pine and chant your deepest secret under your breath. Then, you are sworn in.

History

This group has been around for as long as anyone can remember. There are some records that say at one point, there were almost none left but nobody can say exactly why.

There are no records concerning this.

Components and tools

The only tools used are... 1. A branch of pine to burn when you first swear in. 2. Any offer you might burn once a year.

Participants

There are only 5 people known on the sword coast to belong to this group but if anyone knows their names, they aren't telling. The leader of this group is very secret, nobody knows anything about them except the 5 people in the group. However, the initials of the 5 people in the group are known. TG. ZN. BdA. EM. AM.

Observance

This can take place literally anywhere but everyone who knows is sworn to secrecy. On any full moon nights regardless if any member of the group is burning an offering, people can see little lights in places like forests or even on water. However, nobody can reach these lights, if they try, the lights just move farther away.
