A Short History of Schalk

No one really remembers when the Schalk ascended. Suddenly they were there and claimed to have always been there. Who could deny that? Humour is as old as speech, probably even older. The Schalk has claimed to be the first god, the last, a very recent one and everything inbetween. And the other gods? Well, they have their own opinions.

Worship

Worshippers

Especially famous among Goblins and Halflings, which are known for loving all kinds of pranks and mischief. If you ever see the owl, know that in every bit, in every joke and in every prank there needs to be a small ounce of wisdom to give it meaning. If you see someone holding up the mirror to the mighty and powerful, joking about them, without fear of punishment and retribution, or in spite of them. Then you know that you have seen a true worshipper, one so dedicated that they would defy everyone at once.

Priests

Have you ever played prank? Have you ever made a joke when you really shouldn't have? Did you ever trick the mighty and powerful into doing something stupid? Congratulations, you have the capacity to become a priest of Schalk. Anyone who dares to do this on a regular basis and each time more and more daring, is a priest and will receive blessings, if they want to or not.

Paladins

Not every paladin needs a shining armour, some of them may go unnoticed in the dark. Some have dedicated their lives to utter chaos, no matter if what they do is good or bad, as long as someone thinks that it is funny.

Acts of Woship

Each time you tell a joke, each time you pull a prank, each time make somebody laugh, each time you trick someone, each time you make a fool of yourself is an act of worship. So long as there is laughter, so long will there be Schalk.

Temples

Why would you need temples? They are too stuffy and serious and boring, but every place that can be a stage will suffice if need be.
