Summary
As ordered by our majesty
King Theoderich III we, the Third Royal Fleet, undertook the great venture of sailing south. Far beyond the reaches of the known world.
After months of travel, we were able to anchor at an unfamiliar coast. First believing to have sailed around the edge of the world we looked for signs of the enemy, finding no living soul - only creatures.
Our few expeditions into the forests however provided proof of someone having lived there before. Their buildings easily dwarf the tallest in the The Capital, they exhibit signs of destruction usually seen in large scale warfare.
Recommendations
1. I suspect that there is a lot to be learned from, the destructive capabilities could be useful for the war effort if harnessed.
2. A secure route to
The New Continent should be established.
3. The shortest way is through the Shifting Isles, for that we need to eradicate the pirate scum living there.
Detailed Chronicle of the 5 Year Expedition
What follows is a boring month by month description of the expedition, filled with statistical data relating to the amount of material and crew lost, this lasts until the following section.
Report of the Royal Scholars
Our recommendation concurrs with that of the honoured Fleet Admiral. An exploitation of the new continent is recommended. The fauna we encountered will push our understanding of the world forward. The creatures we encountered exhibit many unusual properties and necessitate further study. A few noteworthy examples are listed below.
Venomous LIzard
This creature managed to incapacitate a fully grown soldier with a single bite, before an entire swarm ripped him apart. The venomous capabilities will provide useful in the capture of enemy leaders on the battlefield.
Temple Guardian
We are sure that this creature is summoned and not naturally grown, if we can replicate the spell and employ these creatures to guard our outposts we could gain a significant tactical adavantage. I personally witnessed one of these creatures annihilate an entire platoon as if they were mere children fighting a troll.
Truly terrifying beasts.
