A short History of Kruum - The Denier

Kruum - The Denier the first true orc. The one that would decide the path and fate of his race.

Mortal Life

During the age of nomads, when darkness hunted all those that could think, he was born. From a young age on Kruum was taught to flee when the darkness approached, to hide and cower in fear from it. For all the ones that did not do this would find their end at the hands of the darkness. Kruum learned and he made his own observations, he said that the darkness was not invincible and that he would fight back. The first time he fought back, a healer was barely able to bring him back to life. The second time he fought back, he managed to save a couple people, but he survived with many wounds and nearly lost his legs. The third time he fought back he saved an entire family and survived with a few wounds.

Ascension

The tenth time he fought back he managed to hold the darkness at bay. The twelth time Kruum fought, he drove the darkness back and reclaimed land. That day he ascended. He became The Denier, the one fights fear itself. Kruum took that power and that responsibility. Kruum remade his people, he gave them strong arms and thick skin, passed on his spirit of the warrior, taught his people to fight so that they too may overcome their fear and live free and openly.

Worship

Worshippers

Everyone that believes to fight for a good and just cause prays to Kruum for guidance. Every strategist analyzing their enemies movements wants Kruum to send them a flash of inspiration.

Priests

Many priests prefer to stay in their temples, not those of Kruum. You will find them at front of the lines, charging into battle to inspire the believers. Every priest is a capable warrior of his own and a worthy addition to any army.

Paladins

Kruum is the quintessential Paladin, as such his paladins strive to follow where he leads them. They are not as pretentious as others, as his tenets regularly lead to them having to confront their own fears, keeping them grounded and close to the common folk they have dedicated themselves to.

Acts of Worship

Protecting the innocent, fighting a good and fair fight without underhanded trickery and subterfuge is a sure way of keeping Kruums wrath away from you. Killing the monsters that roam the land, preying on the innocent is another.

Temples

Kruum has very few static temples, most of his worshippers congegrate in tents on the battlefield, holding their masses and blessings before large fights.
