The Scions of Hanin were once the immortal flame of the Empire's will—the elite royal guard of House Veyron, trained from birth or forged through ritual to serve the Awakened Sovereigns without question. Clad in red-veiled armor and wielding memory-bound weapons, they were more than soldiers: they were symbols, saints of loyalty, and death incarnate in the empire’s name.
Their order was first sworn within the walls of Caer Hanin, bound by the Ashkael Crown and the Fivefold Oath. To become a Scion was to surrender the self, carry the Sovereign’s silence, and live only for the empire's flame.
But since the fall of the empire and the splintering of House Veyron, the Scions have fractured. Some remain loyal to the veiled child-emperor Saeryth in the capital. Others serve Ish-Elara’s warhost in the Sorrowed Expanse, interpreting old oaths as a call to reclaim the world by force. A few have vanished into exile—now mercenaries, guardians, or relic-seekers, wandering Solvar like fading echoes of a forgotten vow.
