The Deepbinders are whisper-priests and relic-seekers, an esoteric cult hidden within the courts and shadow-chapels of House Marrowvere. They believe relics are not just remnants—but living memories, shackles that hold the world together through suffering and sacrifice.
To the Deepbinders, history is a wound that must remain open. They descend into drowned catacombs and Blackglass sinkholes, unearthing objects that should not be touched. Each relic is studied, scarred, and spoken to—ritually bound through blood, salt, and Saevithan chant.
Most among House Marrowvere deny their existence. Others fund them in secret, hoping to use their findings to reshape the present through control of the past.
Some whisper the Deepbinders serve no god, but instead listen to the sea beneath the world—the place where forgotten things dream.
In Play:
- Antagonists, uneasy allies, or quest-givers obsessed with memory, relics, or truth-warping magic.
- Members may possess forbidden knowledge, corrupted Saevithan relics, or lost rituals of the Mourning Star.
- PCs might encounter them during relic recovery missions or uncover their symbols etched into drowned ruins.
