A Dark Affair and a Family Reunion

After Kumar and Gilber enjoyed an evening with some, less than savoury, ladies of the night - Gallus visit the Phandalin Miners Exchange, where they speak with Halia Thornton. Halia quests the party to rid the town of the Redbrand Bandits and to bring their leader to her for interrogation. She notes her annoyance at the ruling members of Phandalin and explains her wishes to lead the town.
Before setting about their quests, the party accompany Gilber to reunite with his Aunt, Quelline Alderleaf at the Alderleaf Farm.
The party learn that the Redbrands are camped within the ruins of Tresendar Manor. Gilber's cousin, Carp, tells the party he knows of a secret entrance into the Manor through the woods.
