Arrival in Phandalin

The party arrive in the town of Phandalin. Upon arrival, Sildar thanks the party for rescuing him and asks they meet him at the town hall the next day to discuss rescuing Gundren. On the way into town, the party engages in a heated exchange with a band of ruffians. The party decides to rest up for the night at the Stonehill Inn.
Toblen Stonehill tells the party of the struggles faced by the town at the hands of the Redbrand Gang. Toblen fails to recognise Gilber as an ex-gang member, but has his suspicions.
