Bjorn Firebeard
Bjorn Firebeard was found a babe under the canopy of Stone Stand by Kriga Moonmusk. Kriga adopted the young Bjorn as her ward and raised him alongside her daughter, Hydia Moonmusk.
Bjorn was raised learning the history of his great Blue Bear Tribe and shared in their passion for violence and their reverance of Uthgar and the totem spirit of the bear.
Bjorn was the only Goliath of the tribe, setting him apart from his human comrades throughout his youth - Bjorn excelling in feats of athletics and combat years ahead of his friends.
As Hydia took leadership of the Blue Bear Tribe from her mother, she joined forces with Kayalithica - Leader of the Stone Giants - and sacked the cities settlements of Orlbar and Llorkh. At first, Bjorn revelled and shone in the bloodshed of battle; however, whilst clapsing the head of a gnomish bard in his hands, Bjorn felt a sense of unease. Bjorn spared the bard and fleed the battlefield to seek answers about life, his place in the world and his destiny.
Bjorn initally kidnapped the gnomish bard, Tink, to be his guide on his journey. As days and weeks passed, the pair grew ever close. Bjorn taught Tink the ways of the warrior and Tink taught Bjorn the love of music and song. The pair scrapped and sang their way through the towns of Loudwater, Zelbross, Secomber, Julkoun, Daggerford until they reached Waterdeep, where they caroused for nigh a year. The pair then left the city to traverse the Long Road to Red Larch and Westbridge. Whilst travelling on the Long Road, through the Dessarin Valley, a scouting party from the Blue Bear Tribe managed to track Bjorn down. They sought to take him prisoner under the orders of Hydia by crime of dessertion from the battle of Llorkh. Bjorn and Tink fought the tribesmen valiantly. In the skirmish, Bjorn miscast a thunderwave spell in a state of rage that threw him off a cliff into the Dessarin River. By the time Bjorn climbed back to the site of the battle, the skirmish was over and Tink was gone. Tink dropped his magical lute pick into the mud to signal to Bjorn he was alive.
Bjorn's drive is to gain power and allies in order to save his best friend, Tink, from his sister Hydia.
