Beldabar's Rest
Beldabar's Rest was an underground inn in
Yartar, established in the 1360s DR. Once owned and managed by
Beldabar Yarryn, the inn was known for its discretion and popularity among gamblers and adventurers. It is now ran by his grandson
Hjolund Yarryn.
Location
The inn was uniquely situated beneath
Yartar's central market, in the cellars of several surrounding warehouses.
Structure
The structure of Beldabar's Rest involved the renovated cellars of multiple warehouses. Due to its underground nature, the inn enforced a strict "no fires" policy. Access to the stables was via a dirt ramp leading from a nearby gatehouse.
Interior
Each guest room featured a heavy bar for locking the door and had at least two secret entrances. These hidden passages connected to various locations around and beneath
Yartar. The inn was dimly lit by earth-tone driftglobes and equipped with bronze gongs in each room to alert security if needed.

Services
The inn offered a variety of food and drink, including sloegreen wine, foot-long lamb sausages, skewered chicken hearts, and steak, mushroom, and kidney pie. Prices ranged from 3 cp to 9 sp depending on the dish.

Patrons often carried weapons, and many staff members were former adventurers. The inn's defenses were robust, with security guards and a system of hidden passages for emergencies.
Rumors & Legends
It was rumored that one of the inn's secret tunnels led to the Kissing Court in eastern
Yartar. Additionally, the caverns beneath the cellars were said to connect to the Underdark and were inhabited by an alhoon and a family of wererats.
