Solari City Return Side Quest - Barbarian: An Unexpected Shipment

When the party returns back to Solari City after clearing The Black Chasm, Leona is going to ask to take Rowan into the Healer's Academy so she can run her through a trial that will both bolster her confidence and train her further in specific situations. When this happens, the party is going to be split 5 ways and Meric's side quest will take him to the Solari Shipping Warehouse in the Port District.

Leona will let Meric know that they got some kind of magical weapon unexpectedly in a shipment, and rumor has it there is a small group of workers, a Minotaur (Tirrios Wolfwarrior), an Orc (Zortab Ash Clobberer), and a Goblin (Grixzik Cogerook), have set aside and have been selling off rounds for a skill based battle game to win the axe. Beyond that, she is not aware of any details.

When Meric gets to the Port District, he will see an Orc and a Minotaur outside of the warehouse, past the docks and in a small sandy area along the coast, smoking a spliff. When he approaches, they will entertain him but let him know that they need to go inside to talk in more detail. When they get inside they explain the terms of the game to him: they will bring him into a room with 10 Grindylow. The entry fee is 25GP. The object of the game is to kill 10 Grindylow in 10 swings. If he misses, then he will have to pay another 25GP to reset the count back to 10 and have another chance at the weapon.

If he wins, the prize is the Goreseaked Reaper (greataxe). The friends all have a deal that the three of them must witness the winner in order for it to count, so one of them will go and get Grixzik once Meric agrees to play.

Zortab will ask Meric if he is part of the Frostspear Tribe of Orc sailors in the North.

The Grindylow are for flavor but their AC for this game is actually 14.
