Grusel, the Cursed
Grusel, the Cursed is a Chaotic Good God from the Pantheon of the Wild. Grusel was once known as Grusel, God of the Skies, but that title has long fallen out of favour. He enjoyed flying through the skies so much that he often shirked his duties and ignored his followers. His clerics could go years, or decades without being able to make a connection. The Tengu, having their patron god ignore them became angry, and started hunting their patron god. At first Grusel found it entertaining, to escape those who wished to mess with his eternal flight, but he did not realise thier true goals. They did not wish to ground him temporarily so that he could listen to their current issues, they wished to permanently ground him, and force him to do his job as their patron god. Eventually the Kenku hunters succeeded at catching their god, and dispute his pleading, they enacted the dark ritual. Grusel was cursed to never fly again. In his anger he counter cursed his patrons, forcing them to live as he now must, stuck on the ground, never to feel the winds of the sky again. This curse works so well that a strangely large amount of flying ships get in accidents with kenku on board.
Another strange aspect to Grusel, other than being cursed, is he did not have a way back to the realm of the gods without his flight, so he remains on earth. Ragged and angry, very few know of his location and of those that do, few are still among the living.

Due to Grusel shunning his patrons, it is rare for clerics to dedicate themselves to him, and rarer to find a church in his name. He does exist in some temples of the wild, but usually as a relic from a time long past, crumbling under the weight of time and negligence of his alters and statues. You may find an occasional shrine dedicated to him in the deepest darkest forest, a strange abomination covered in patchy crow and raven feathers, rotten animal muscles peering through the gaps. But no one is quite sure who sets them up, or their purpose.
