Ekim, Deity of Enchantment
Ekim, Deity of Enchantment is a Neutral Evil Deity from the Pantheon of Magic. They are also the patron deity of Imperial Dragons. When most people think of evil schools of magic, most think of necromancy, but Ekim, being the deity of enchantment, actually holds the title of the most evil school of magic. "Necromancy may use one's remains, but enchantment uses the person's body while they're still in it" - Entry from the Grand Book of Magic for Magic Schools 203. Using necromancy to create undead is almost universally frowned upon, but using enchantment on people is almost universally illegal. Ekim themselves also do not shy away from this reputation. They encourage taking advantage of those weaker than yourself and actually dislike when one frees someone elses slaves for purely good reasons.
Due to the bad image and illegal nature of their school, Ekim is actually usually absent from temples of magic. Enchantment does have important uses in good society, but almost none of their practitioners worship Ekim and if any do, they do not do so openly. You can sometimes find small hidden shrines to them in basements, back alleys, and some other unsavoury places.
