Dumreis, Goddess of the Weave (dymRɛs)

Dumreis, Goddess of the Weave is the head of the Pantheon of Magic and was the first Godling to ascend. In her time as a goddess she has had the most potent influence on the world, as she was the first. Deciding that this world would be highly magical, the creation of leylines to feed magic potential, and the maintaining of the weave which is what allows all magic to flourish. She is also responsible for the limiting how powerful a spell can be cast. After the disaster that was the shattering, she wished to ensure that such a disaster would never occur again. She is also the patron deity of dragons,which is both a blessing and a curse to the world depending on who you ask.

Dumreis, being the head of the pantheon is highly worshipped. Wizards, sorcerers, archanists and many others focus on Dumreis due to her unrivalled control over magic. Many magical colleges are dedicated to her and you can find her likeness around the world, including on many currencies. Most of her clerics are also wizards or other spellcasters in addition as thats what brought them to Dumreis, though there are always exceptions.
In her life as a godling, Dumreis was one of the first to start meddling with her powers. She discovered that even before godlings ascend they have great power over the world around them. She immidiately started messing with this power in ways that many would now be called magic. She started creating magical creatures such as flumps and oozes, she showed some humans how to harness the energies around them. And then, always looking to explore, she fell in love. Now known as chuzzadilth, the first one. They fell deeply in love and set many of the traditions still practised today in marriages. When Chuzzadilth was on her death bed, dying of old age, Dumreis could not accept it, and tried to find a way to save her. Dumreis succeeded, and became the first godling to learn how to ascend and the first to choose thier champion. Chuzzadilth became the first of the dragons, and Dumreis became the first of the gods. Some people say that on the clearest of days you can still see Chuzzadilth flying at the edge of sight, still trying to reach the stars, and her lost love in the heavens.
