Portrayal | Fastis is always portrayed as a bronze skinned woman of indeterminate species holding a set of artisan tools, the type of tools often depending on the community in which she is portrayed; Dwarves will favor smithing tools, humans weaving looms and halflings cooking utensils for example. |
Goddess of science, engineering and medicine.
Fastis is often worshiped by those dedicated to science and the tinkering, as these people are very rare, so are her shrines. Major temples of Octeron often contain small altars dedicated to Fastis though.
When Marchus brought his new wife from the chaos to the realm of the gods, Octeron grew jealous of his brother, so he decided to create a wife for himself. After toiling long in his workshop, he emerged holding hands with a beautiful woman cast in bronze; Fastis.
He imbued in her his skills in crafts, but in a short time she surpassed him in some of these, especially the mechanical arts and growing bored with them, she sought tutelage from Julya in medicine, viewing living creatures as nothing more than clockworks of flesh.
Fastis is unique among the gods because she does not have a month dedicated to her. Instead she is honored during Octeron, because he built her and did not want to be separated from her even in time.
