Death and the Afterlife
When a mortal dies, their soul is brought before the celestial tribunal; Novedron, Auguston and Aprisca.
If the soul is judged to have lived a worthy life or died a particularly heroic death, then it is invited to the halls of Novedron to feast until it is tired of feasting, upon which the soul can choose oblivion or rebirth.
If a soul is judged particularly unworthy, it is tossed down to the realms of Feberia and Decius who torment and twist the souls until they are rebirthed into the world as monstrosities. Creatures to fill Decius’ underdark or Feberia’s black depths.
If a soul is judged as not particularly worthy, but not necessarily evil as well, then Aprisca reincarnates the soul back into the world as whatever creature she sees fit.
