The Birth of the Cult of the Dragon Worshippers at the Roots of Yggdrasil

At the roots of Yggdrasil, the domain known as Kaedia, laid a great serpent dragon, Níðhöggr the Mother of All Dragons. Níðhöggr was an ancient one, one of the first creatures to be brought into existence with the 1st Name of God. Níðhöggr resided at the roots of the great tree, gnawing at the infinite branches to keep them from growing to infinity. It was from her that all of the great dragon races were born and from them, all the lesser dragon races were born. Circa 709, wandering ascetics happened upon the domain and came to revere the dragons as icons of divinity and aspects of the 1st Name of God. They built a mega-city around the roots of Yggdrasil, Draco Radix, and declared themselves as the Cult of the Dragon Worshippers. They were led by the monk Youseline Jean-Caedou Marie, recounted as influential among the early Dragon Priests.
