The Yoku Melting Pot
The Yoku Melting Pot is a massive chamber filled with liquid Raw Magical Energy extracted from Familiars from the 5th Dimension. The Yoku Pot is used to combine, fuse, or otherwise join two or more separate biological beings into a new biological being possessing attributes from its parents but ultimately being a new entity altogether. The major downside of this process is the compatibility aspect, which dictates that whatever two things are being joined need to be of the same "type" in a few senses.
- Same Species or Sub-Species
- Same Size or Similar Size
- Same Magical Energy or Alike Magical Energy
Utility
The Yoku Pot is a technology that is only used when a party needs to create a new being from two or more other beings. It is used primarily in the science and research or academic fields to study evolution or force evolution onto humans. Various military programs have been known to also employ a Yoku Pot in an attempt to create a Super Soldier from the perfect specimen.
Complexity
- The Containment Chamber: Familiars are queer beings who are normally immune to Mortal weaponry and thus Mortal cages do not work. The Containment Chamber needs to be built out of pure Nynir (Nynir stifles or blocks Magical Energy) metals to degrade captured Familiars as much as possible.
- The Yin Extraction Chamber: The process of extracting Yin from Familiars involves harnessing Mana, the fundamental component of Raw Magical Energy prevalent in the 5th Dimension. Familiars exclusively utilize Yin, necessitating their disposal for efficient Yin harvesting. Due to the weakened state of Familiars post-capture, a substantial quantity of them is required to compensate adequately.
- The Distillation Chamber: Yin, akin to Magical Energy, carries unique signatures specific to individual users, including those extracted from Familiars. To ensure the purity of the extracted Yin, a distillation process is imperative. This process eliminates any residual traces of the Familiars, mitigating the risk of external influence or contamination during subsequent procedures. However, it results in the loss of approximately half of the harvested Yin, necessitating a larger quantity of Familiars to achieve desired yields.
- The Yoku Pot Chamber: Finally, the weightless, glowing, and pure blue of pure blue Yin is finally collected into the Yoku Pot Chamber itself. This is a magical chamber made from pure Uru materials (Uru boosts or enhances Magical Energy flow) to help keep the raw Yin "fresh" for a longer period. Despite this, the Yin will almost immediately begin to "decay" into MagicStuff, a subpar substance that is effectively a liquid-goop form of Magical Energy (Magic is the combination of Mana + Natural Energy), good for Men-at-Arms who need to quickly regain their lost Magical Energy, but not much else. Half-Life refers to how long it takes for Yin to decay into MagicStuff, and this Half-Life is impacted by how effective the entire process is. How pure is the metal in the chambers, how many Familiars were acquired, how powerful were the Familiars, how well was the Yin distilled, etc. It is a very complicated process.
