The Trapper

The Trapper, or simply Trapper, was an enigmatic resident of The Warren during the end of the Third Age. He worked as a trapper in the surrounding mountains, catching animals, such as deer, rabbits, hare, boar, and birds, and then selling them in the Warren and other nearby settlements. When he returned, he used his natural charisma and charm to win the hearts of any girl who crossed his path, then tossed them aside when he fund something better to do. He often used underhanded trickery to make the best profit possible, like selling an animal to a trader, then stealing it back when they weren't looking. He also siphoned money off of his numerous 'girlfriends' and other inhabitants of the Warren. He was a master of manipulation, and was the real master of the Warren, whoever was apparently in charge. He was killed by Rusalye Würani in 2765 when he tried to pickpocket the unpredictable Ranger. Rusalye, who was on his guard and not in the best of moods, didn't hesitate to draw his sword and run the vagabond through.   The Trapper came to the Warren in 2748, and appared ageless for the following seventeen years. He disappeared sporadically, turning up to sell his wares and do a bit of thieving, then disappearing again. No one in the Warren knew anything about him apart from his 'name', what he looked like, and his tendency to tell tall tales.   The Trapper wore a long leather coat with multiple pockets, and a dirty tunic and trousers. A bandolier crossed his chest from left shoulder to opposite hip, and a long hunting knife was buckled to the regular belt circling his waist. He carried a pack that contained all his trapping gear, as well as a satchel. His stubble-surrounded mouth sported a supposedly permanent smirk, but that was quickly wiped off of his face when he realized the seemingly scruffy traveller he had just targeted was actually the most powerful Ranger in Irëduin.
