Session 8

We took a long rest to recover from some of the trials of the day.   On fourth watch, we were attacked by some sort of blob, which Brynn killed.   Then we went down the hall in the direction of the door that poisoned Drew and found some Kobolds, which we managed to enlist to aid us.   Further down that hall we found a portcullis that we could not get past.   We turned back and took the last route open to us and found a room that appeared to have been built as an elaborate puzzle which had to be solved to raise the portcullis.   While we were trying some of the levers and buttons, to see if we could do that, Thrunk stepped on a pressure plate. This released a giant scorpion.   While singing “Rock Me Like a Hurricane” the scorpion attacked us.   We managed to defeat it, but not before it killed two of our Kobold allies.   We harvested nineteen days’ rations from the bodies and then, with the help of the remaining Kobold, we figured out the puzzle room and opened the exit.   Then we went down the hall, which turned out to be a very long cave, stretching hundreds of miles under the Dreaded Wastes. It took us two weeks to come to the end.   When we reached the other side, we came out of the cave into a canyon known as Terror Canyon, and found a large tent set up just outside it.   There was a battle with the slavers who stole Kenesh, and then we found him being pampered like a show dog in a bathtub with some naked chicks.
