Kenesh Gets Keptnapped

Session 6

On the way to Spear Point , as we were passing Brookhaven , another adventuring group joined us on the road, temporarily.   Kenesh had a brief disagreement with the other adventurers that appeared to have something to do with Afryan politics.   After the disagreement, the other party left and stopped traveling with us, but one of their number, a half-Drow named Varis, remained with us.   Shortly thereafter, an unnatural fog rolled in and we were attacked from the cover it provided by a group of Kobolds   In the attack, Kenesh was kidnapped and we could not give chase.   Brynn killed three kobolds.   After the attack, we found some tracks and followed them to Brookhaven.   When we arrived in Brookhaven, we entered the Blackwater Tavern   Thrunk immediately formed the opinion that one or two people at one of the tables was involved in the kidnapping and he hit one in the face with his war pick, mortally wounding him.   Brynn, not convinced of the man’s guilt, accidentally cast Spare the Dying to stabilize him.   We questioned the other people in the tavern and eventually found out that Thrunk was right all along and the guy did have information on what happened to Kenesh.   We stayed the night at the tavern and were awakened by guards in the morning.   Somehow Brynn accidentally bought a slave child and Thrunk bought some armor.   We left town, following some nomads to a slave auction where we hoped to find Kenesh.   Instead there was another encounter with some Kobolds. Afterward we were warned not to sleep in the open and were directed toward a nearby cave entrance to the North.
