The Greenskin Threat

Report on the Movements of the Green-Skin Horde

Thought of the day: “Appeasement is a curse.”     The nature of the arrival of the Ork menace to the Seshat system is unknown. There is no record of the Ork scourge having ever been in the system prior to the first sightings on the moons of Hermaeus less than half a standard year ago, yet there have been unconfirmed sightings of the beasts system-wide. It is plausible that the expeditionary fleet may have carried some hibernating Ork spores and introduced them to the local ecosystem, though the evidence for this is scant and the rate of Ork development all but rules this theory out entirely. A more likely explanation for their arrival comes in the form of their weird boy, "Braynbrakka,” who has the seeming ability to “tellyport” not only himself but entire hordes of Orks over vast distances. This theory has been given credence by both the Astropathic Choir aboard the Cremona Bonus and by Kokabiel, Librarian of the Dark Angels, who have sensed localised warp disturbances that bear a resemblance to those caused by our own sacred teleportarium devices.   What started as a few isolated Ork sightings has quickly gathered momentum into a seemingly inexorable green tide. The recent deluge of Orks that poured forth from the Oryx Forest in the west and is even now overrunning the previously well-fortified Tau position along that front shows little signs of abating. Sightings of warbands looting and pillaging across the Kocari Wilds and the Ganzfeld Province that were once dismissed as rumours have now become commonplace. Even the small force reported in the ruins of the city of Yith on the faraway moons of Hermeaus has become a "waagh" in all but name.   Despite the multitude of threats this most noble of expeditions faces, from the Tau and their traitorous allies to the presence of Archenemy and even the deathless Necrons, feel confident in declaring that it is the Orks, the Old Foe, that is our most pressing threat at this time. As such, I humbly recommend that any Astartes, PDF and expeditionary troops avaialble reassigned to fight this deadly threat.
