Spirit Ward

Spirit Ward is a 1st level priest spell only usable by shamans. All shamans automatically receive this spell and do not have to select it on level-ups.   This spell surrounds the recipient with a magical barrier at a distance of one foot. Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty to hit when attacking the protected creature. In addition, the recipient gains a bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. This spell cannot be cast on spirits, fey creatures, elementals, or spectral undead.

Effect

1-11 Failure.
12-13 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -1 to hit when attacking the protected creature. In addition, the recipient gains a +2 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 2 rounds.
14-17 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -2 to hit when attacking the protected creature. In addition, the recipient gains a +3 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 4 rounds.
18-19 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -4 to hit when attacking the protected creature. In addition, the recipient gains a +6 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 6 rounds.
20-23 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -6 to hit when attacking the protected creature. Creatures affected that successfully hit take 1d8 damage. In addition, the recipient gains a +8 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 2 turns.
24-27 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -8 to hit when attacking the protected creature. Creatures affected that successfully hit take 2d8 damage. In addition, the recipient gains a +10 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 4 turns.
28-29 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -10 to hit when attacking the protected creature. Creatures affected that successfully hit take 3d8 damage. In addition, the recipient gains a +12 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 6 turns.
30-31 Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -12 to hit when attacking the protected creature. Creatures affected that successfully hit take 4d8 damage. In addition, the recipient gains a +14 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 2 hours.
32+ Spirits, fey creatures, elementals, and spectral undead receive a penalty of -14 to hit when attacking the protected creature. Creatures affected that successfully hit take 5d8 damage.  In addition, the recipient gains a +16 bonus to Saving Throws against all spells that belong to the Enchantment school. Effect last for 4 hours.
