Drained Zones

Desolation reigns in this dark wasteland, spanning a belt through the mountains and forests of Pakani. Castles, long abandoned, are struck by lightning and burn. Hamlets, somehow still standing, are crushed like plywood from a flood. There is nothing to be found in this place of darkness.

Geography of Pakani

Rolling hills or mountain valleys, darkened peninsulas or lightless caverns, foggy seas or cloudy mountains: many places are cursed by the warring of the magisters over Pakani Island. A thick fog floats over much of the region, remnants of magic-generated smokescreens. No humans journey through here: one wrong step can mean falling and breaking a leg, or a sudden heart attack due to still-active magic traps. The curses are so strong no one bothers to clean them up anymore. Most of the area is lifeless.
