Helden (Hell den)
Helden, the kingdom of brave knights errant, glory and the last great remnants of the high elves. The Kingdom is ruled from Helden Tower a city build around a mighty mortal made Telvar (tower of magic).
Bellow the Ilúmatíre sit the Ménatar a noble class who rule local areas, each Ménatar is sworn to an Ilúmatíre and will pay tieth to them as well as marching behind their banner at times of war.
Technically bellow the Ménatar sit the Knights oathsworn warriors. Some of whom make up the mighty retinues of the Ménatar and Ilúmatíre others Knight errant sworn to the protection of the lower classes. Knights train from childhood in the way of the blade and unlike the knights of more humenocentric realms who must squeeze their training into a matter of years the knights of Helden spend a matter of decades and even centuries in their training to become a Knight. In their centuries of Knighthood some knights, especially Knights Errant would grow to become far more powerful and influential then the Ménatar.
Bellow the Knights sit the Rimanórë (freefolk), who are not bound to the Ménatar but pay rent to the Ménatar in order to work the land or live in the citys.
At the bottom of the chain of being sit the Nóredar, serfs bound in servitude to the Ménatar, they are given land to work to feed themselves in exchange for a portion of their harvest and days guaranteed work. Nóredar can buy their freedom or can earn their freedom by spending a year and a day in a city without being caught.
