Founders
That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
The Founders are the initial colonists who travelled in stasis aboard the Ulysses. They were selected by the Odyssey Initiative for their skills and resilience, both physical and psychological. As the first wave of the Initiative's colonization efforts, they were the most adaptable and ingenious candidates coming from all participating countries, and were given the best training available to the Initiative. As a result, the Founders were capable of quickly salvaging the situation upon arriving in Auriga, allowing them to settle on Vesta without any significant problems.
Thanks to their diverse origins, the Founders laid the foundation of a multicultural society that would persist for centuries to come, and by using a common language, the Founders overcame the boundaries that burdened their ancestors. Through decades of work, the Founders have built a legacy that is respected by all, and gave birth to the Elysian Cluster as we know it today. All of this labor was not without dangers, however, as many Founders succumbed to Vesta's wildlife, natural disasters and accidents of all sorts. Still, their dedication to mankind allowed them to avoid any major conflict throughout the Colonial Era.
