Fenrir Dynamics

Sure, it's all boring and bland, but I bought my truck fifty years ago and it's still going!

Fenrir Dynamics, often abbreviated to FD, is a major Vestan industry & defense corporation headquartered in Bel Avenir. As of 382, it is the third largest defense contractor in Elysium by sales and one of the largest corporation in the world. While the corporation primarily focuses on the defense market, it also provides a fair amount of products and services for the industrial and consumer market. Most of the specialized markets are handled by sub-entities to better follow the market trends and needs.

Fenrir Dynamics is omnipresent within the Federation, with outlets and branch offices in nearly every region. Beyond its headquarters, FD also maintains numerous facilities on Vesta and Asteria, as well as countless space assets such as orbital manufacturing stations and refineries. This makes FD one of the most famous corporation in Elysium, as well as one of the oldest with nearly 360 years of existence. Unfortunately, this also led to numerous rumors and suspicion of corruption between FD and the government, as many lucrative contracts were recently awarded to FD to supply the Vestan military.

History

Fenrir Dynamics was founded in late 23 in New Dawn. Originally an automotive and machinery constructor, the Colonial War saw the firm repurposing most of its production lines to weapons and military vehicles. Due to the largely successful transition to a defense contractor, FD retained its focus on military assets and relegated its automotive department to a secondary role only. During the following decades, FD produced numerous military and civilian vehicles before founding a new subsidiary: Fenrir Motors.

With the automotive industry now housed within a dedicated entity, FD became solely dedicated to the defense market until the Interstellar War. the aftermath of the conflict saw much destruction in Auriga's space industry facilities, and FD seized the new market opportunity and established another subsidiary: Garm Industries. FD slowly grew over the decades, becoming a invaluable business partner for many other corporations, so much in fact, that the corporation was now vital to many entities, including the military.

Rumors and suspicions of corruption grew in the 370s, as FD had an omnipresence in a multitude of industries unchallenged by any serious competitors. Unfortunately, no evidence of such corruption has been found as of 382.
