Dragon

Dragons morphologically are very large winged lizards. However, many of their traits are tied into their highly magical nature. All Dragons have potent breath weapons, and an ability to fly that far exceeds what they should be able to achieve with their massive frames.
Due to their powerfully magical nature, dragons often manifest a large number of additional magical abilities, including a powerful ability to shapeshift. Dragons of a more studious nature often develop these magical abilities and become extremely potent spellcasters, though most are wielders of the arcane or natural arts. Despite the blatant presence of divinity in the world, few Dragons look to the guidance of deities as a source of inspiration, comfort, and power, their intrinsic nature as a being of magical power means they often look within themselves for power instead of outward to other beings.
