Divine Origins

A teaching society that sprang up after the official church cannonization of Gwen Lillycaller. Mostly found at the Gwenillian Acadamy of Arts and Magic, where the majority of faculty are veterans.

Tenets of Faith

The Veterans teach..

• The devine power of Ilmater should only be used in the service of the injured, the poor, and the abused. Never for personal gain or glory.
• Using your pain or blood for self serving power is an act of veneration to the evil gods, like Loviatar, goddess of pain.
• No mortal has an absolutely pure heart, so this is a daily struggle in which we aid one another.
• We honor our friends and shieldmates who have fallen, by accepting the scars and losses of our shared suffering.
• We accept St Gwen's call to teach and mentor the young leaders and seekers of knowledge, hoping that they will follow the footsteps of our Lord in selfless service to others.

Priesthood

The Veterens accept guidence from Clerics of Ilmater who have retired from the field, much as they themselves have retired.
