Episode 33 - Invisible Sun

Smomdu  is commissioned as the executive office onboard the Phalanx    He finds Wheels Smoko and Jema Lzra adrift in space and rescues them.   They then lead a The Republic convoy through the Rhao Nebula Pass

After decoding the black box from his crashed ship, Smomdu manages to find the ship that shot him down was called The Sherman    The ship at the time was being operated by the Melki Gang who are known to operate inside the Rhao Nebula Pass    Smomdu  takes the commission where he manages to find Wheels Smoko and Jema Lzra adrift in space and rescues them.   Wheels Smoko and Jema Lzra exhausted from there ordeal they clean themselves up and rest in the crew quarters while Smomdu heads back to the bridge   Several hours into the trip through the Rhao Nebula Pass the convoy is attacked by Hunter Killer's   the Phalanx is heavily damaged in the initial attack.  The is captain incapacitated and the ship left dead in space while a fire rages in the engine room.   Smoko vents the atmosphere and several fire crew into space to save the ship from exploding, then proceeds to make emergency repairs on the Phalanx    after getting moving again, the crew discover a freighter that is sending communications further into the Rhao Nebula Pass    With some fancy flying from Wheels the crew manage to get the Phalanx close to the ship before hailing them.   Upon hearing the hail, Smomdu orders the Phalanx to open fire and the ship is eviscerated.   a marine boarding party secures the communications computer and the information is decrypted which can be used to find the locations of the Hunter Killer's   The ship moves out and catches up with the convoy and its attackers.   The crew send the information about the locations of the Hunter Killer's and all of them are destroyed by the escort fleet, before the convoy makes its way out of the Rhao Nebula Pass
