Episode 24 – If you go down to the woods today / Whiskey a go go

Seleema Jahlone and Smoko are in a meeting with Major General Winters, discussing how to deal with the new Imperial threat on Takron-5 when they are abrupt interrupted by a loud crash and a young Republic commando bursts into the room to tell them about a crashed ship, Major winters asks Seleema and Smoko to put together a team and check out the crashed ship, for survivors or spare parts. First they head to the medical facility to heal some injuries, The Rev helps fix them up. Smoko gets bandaged up the best the doc can manage.   While at the medical facility they find Brett Savage getting Healed up as well as Gafferky Credit sniffing around for some spare drugs or alcohol. Once they leave the medical facility they find Kawfee and they head to the jungle to search for the downed ship.   The crew head into The Canopy , walking through the sese trees they sense something is following them, after the Nexu pounced it was quickly dispatched by Seleema. After this fight they resumed their journey but took a wrong turn right into a Nexu nest, luckily Smoko spotted them first so they could easily dispatch them.   Once the crew gwot back on track they find the downed ship, a modified VCX-100 with a nice paint job, blue with some fetching yellow stripes with SAM written on the side in yellow letters.   The crew enter the already open ship, all the lights are out, they head into the interior of the ship smoko, Kawfee and Credit head down to engineering to see if the ship is salvageable. While Brett and Selema head to the Cockpit.   Brett and Selema gave the systems in the cockpit a good kick, while doing this Selema seen a strange symbol that reminded her of something…   More strange symbols become more apparent as Smoko restores the emergency lighting, the crew all find items for them that have been placed to taunt them, a broken bowcaster for Kawfee, a guitar that breaks to pieces as soon as credit strums it, 3 thermal detonators with all the thermal and detonation parts cored out and a single jump boot with the thrusters removed.   Even more of the symbols were dotted around the ship, something told Seleema this was all connected to her…   The crew bewildered look around the ship at various symbols and a whole bunch of junk? Then all the screens in the ship come to life, a red coloured dug with 2 large blasters and a large hat appears with a swelled Dug mustache to match...   AHOY there! Calling all no good Varmin Mandos out there in wild space! My name is Yos Em’Ite and I am here to collect my Bounty! Yo see some right idiots out these parts decided to blow up a Hutt (laugh) Not that i'm complaining about the act, its just you see a bounty is a bounty and the hutts are known to pay. But then you see while i was going over this extensive list of simpletons a name popped out at me: Selema Jahlone So i checked some of my records and what do ya know CoreLoans have a bount still out on you and still active and growing by the day! It's an old bounty but it checks out! laugh Lets see if you're up to your Mando heritage or if you'll die like I suspect. Screen cuts off and a times starts 1:00, 0:59 The crew run out of the ship just in time to make it away from the explosion, Kawfee and Smoko get knocked to the floor, everyone else rolls and recovers to see that they have been ambushed.   6 Grans attack, they crew easily dispatch them. One of them survives and Credit and Kawfee decided to five him a bit of the good cop bad cop, Credit did the sweet talking and Kawfee, ever not knowing his own strength, tore the grans arm clean off, suffice to say the gran tells them about his boss Yos Em’Ite and the plan to capture Seleema.   Kawfee feeling the pang of guilt for torturing the information from this gran begins top use his force powers to help heal him,credit helps keep him awake, Smoke decided to end his misery, but forgot the safety switch as noted by Seleema, Credit attempts to tackle Smoko but merely jumps into him and lands on the floor, at this time Selema decides this game is over and finishes off the gran, brains and blood shower over the rest of the crew.   Smoko takes a drink, passes to Seleema, to Brett, to Credit… This was the point Credit decided to dive off the wagon and attempt to polish off the rest of the bottle, Kawfee knowing Credits struggle grabs the bottle out of his hand but fumbles throwing it to smoko. Smoko and Brett both dive perfectly to catch it, if only one of them dove of course instead they both grabbed it and pops the bottle into the air like a bar of soap, Selema reaches out and grabs the bottle and takes a swig. Who passes it to Brett for another swig before throwing it back to Smoko, Credit triwes one more time to grab the bottle but kawfee has him pinned down, smoko catches the bottle drinks the last and throws it in the air and sleema shoots the bottle in the air and it explodes into tiny pieces.   On their way back through the Jungle Yos and his remaining crew have set an ambush. They are easily dispatched even if they did have the advantage, after seeing two of his best men taken down in seconds, the jungle lit alight by lunatics being shot at and a wookie ripping off people's heads while swinging out of a tree, he ran.   He couldn't run fast enough, as he is grabbed by the wooke and in the struggle has both legs broken, they convince him to talk.   He tells them all the data about Seleema and the others was given to him as a job, some weird guy in a hood. As he speaks he he is shot by a poison dart from a DRK-1 Dark Eye probe droid.   After the battle and the players are searching through Yos’ corpse the players find a Data pad. The data pad is off, it has a detector that is designed for working only when held by the specific user or users, Seleema touches the pad it will buzzes into life, MESSAGE: The screen comes up with data on Seleema and other members of the crew, but before any of the info can be processed the screen goes black again, then Message Decrypting… Decryption complete… Playing message…   A hooded figure appears, you can see a blue mouth, there appears to be horns protruding from their head going through holes in the hood to allow them to be concealed.   Selema… Sorry to disappoint, but you are merely a stepping stone on my way to victory. I am not interested in you or the pittance bounty placed upon your head, the idiotic mistake with the Hutt will cost you all, it is what lead me to you and you pitiful band of misfits. I have been watching some of you for quite some time. Don’t worry I have a place for some of you by my side, for I am Darth Adroit, Sith Lord! And you are all insignificant compared to my power, you are all nothing, i can make some of you something. The rest, death.
