Religious event
“After walking in the same direction for what feels like hours across the barren, dusty moon, oxygen levels and patience begins to run low. The Reverends continuous mutterings about forgotten rites and banal rituals begin to grate on everybody's nerves, not least his own. As it begins to feel like the moon is utterly devoid of anything at all, something other than dust and rock is spotted in the distance and the group head towards it.”
The group come across a corpse covered in Mynocks. Tel attempts to shoo them away but this agitates them and leads them to attack. The group kill the Mynocks and decide to take them back to the base to eat.
An argument ensues over the correct direction home, Cly correctly interprets the direction home using the stars overhead but Tel insists on heading in the direction his rat has indicated. Udart is torn between the correct direction and sticking with the protection of Tel.
During the debate a distraught Rodian appears and introduces himself as Yan'Maa. He explains the corpse is his friend Macs and would like help burying him, as dictated by his religion. Cly realizes that Yan'Maa is also a follower of The Sacred Way and heads a ceremony to bury Macs, bestowing the greatest respect and dignity.
Overwhelmed by the groups kindness, Yan'Maa offers to take them back to the facility he's currently employed at for food.
