Following the death of Grelba The Hutt, The Ultras, led by Lexx, took advantage of the lack of leadership, moving into the vacant palace and using fear tactics in their bid for power. However, Cyrus did not like Lexx's approach, or mono-species ethos and gathered all the misfits and forgotten people from around the slums of Mos Heskarr to form The Orphans in an attempt to undermine The Ultra's authority.
