Velos is the youngest son of Grimnir, The Allfather, but the two share very little in common. Velos is a prolific shapeshifter, but the face he prefers to wear is that of a horned vagrant, with long shaggy hair, piercing green eyes, and a forked tongue that speaks only in riddles; the form that has earned him his divine epithet. He is a master of deception and illusions, a trickster whose pranks know no bounds and whose thirst for mischief can never be quenched.
Even as the black sheep of his family, Velos is still Grimnir’s Exarch, wielding incredibly powerful magical abilities that are said to surpasses those of any mortal. His followers willingly subject themselves to his pranks, seeing these tricks as tests of faith so that they may cleanse themselves of sin (something Velos finds highly amusing). Velos revels in the confusion of mortals, which he sees as an endless source of entertainment. For Velos, life is but a fleeting moment, a grandiose game of chance that he intends to win, no matter who or what stands in his way.
