Keido is renowned throughout the Isles as the son of Rhen, The Hearth Mother. After his sister Aurelia was trapped in the Otherworld during the Syzygy, Keido was promoted to replace her as Rhen’s Exarch. He is often depicted in watercolor paintings as a man of eastern heritage, his hair graying with age, dressed in the armored robes of a warrior monk. Even as a paragon of honor and quiet reflection, he possesses great skill in the arts of war and swordsmanship, though, he longs for a world in which he never has to use them.
Not much is known about his mortal life, but Keido has nevertheless become an inspiration for those who feel as if they’ve lost their way in life. Beyond serving as a beacon of hope for purpose seekers, many in the Isles also see his wise visage as a guiding star to creativity and unending prosperity, for he is also revered as the patron saint of artists and merchants. Unlike most of the other Exarchs, it is not taboo to offer a silent prayer to him, even for licensed healers and clerics, although supplications to his mother must remain paramount.
